This "Autumn Music Festival" represents a distinctive, original and well-established musical initiative, dedicated to European solo and chamber music literature for Guitar and Piano and similar instruments such as the Lute and Harpsichord.
Within the panorama of musical cultural activities in the Province of Prato (Municipalities of Poggio a Caiano, Carmignano.....), there are well-known representative cultural activities such as the ethnic-musical repertoire of the "Festival delle Colline", the varied repertoire of the Concert Seasons of the prestigious "Camerata Strumentale" of the City of Prato, and that of Cultural Associations that usually offer repertoires geared towards symphonic, operatic and lieder genres.

This Festival fits into an alternative cultural perspective, through a selection of specific pieces of music that trace historical-artistic periods from the sixteenth century to contemporary composers, with an interesting repertoire from a philological point of view and with musical rarities, which have already met with the enthusiasm of a wide audience, including "non-specialists", given the numerous successes of my previous artistic experiences as Artistic Director, such as the "International Music Festivals at the French Institute of Florence" (1993–2001 editions), "Concerts at San Francesco in Bonistallo" (2001–2005), "Christmas Concerts" of the Pro Loco of Poggio a Caiano (2006–2007), the three Autumn Music Festivals of 2008, 2009 and 2010, as well as the flattering reviews received over a long career from music critics and above all from public acclaim.
The presence of internationally renowned artists, Italian soloists and instrumental ensembles, will enrich this extraordinary initiative, raising awareness among and bringing closer all listeners of our Medici territory to pages of great and undisputed musical value.

Musical appointments will thus alternate through Recitals and themed Concerts on unpublished or still little-known programmes. In addition, a specific "showcase" dedicated to new musical works will offer the opportunity to stimulate the creativity of composers, already established internationally, to expand the solo and chamber repertoire of these instrumental ensembles.
The permanent character that this initiative aims for, given the success of the first three editions, is therefore to enhance a musical space unique of its kind, which will help enrich and raise appreciation for both popular and cultivated music (from the vocal-instrumental tradition of the sixteenth century to new contemporary solo and chamber compositions), involving figures from the world of culture and institutions and all the commercial structures that support the event.
